Cody Jarrett

Cody Jarrett is an American feature filmmaker. Initially a musician living in Tampa Bay, Florida, his Hollywood career started with being cast by director Renny Harlin (Cliffhanger) and producer Joel Silver (The Matrix) in a supporting role in 1990's Andrew Dice Clay film The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (20th Century-Fox). Following the film's release, Jarrett played music in Los Angeles, both as a solo artist and in various bands while working as a crew member on other films, making short films, and acting in commercials.
He shares the name of the leading villain in White Heat, portrayed by James Cagney. His character is ranked 26 in the list of AFI's 100 Years... 100 Heroes and Villains.
==Career==
Cody's first feature, ''Frog-g-g!'' was released in 2004 on Koch Entertainment. The film won Grand Jury Prize/Best Feature at the 2004 New York Film And Video Festival and was chosen a "Top 25 of 2005" DVD at Mr. Skin. However, the film is known for a series of publicity stunts.〔(crashing the Michael Jackson trial )〕 Following FROG-G-G!'s release, Jarrett directed television commercials, music videos, and a sports documentary for female MMA star Miesha "Takedown" Tate.
Cody's second feature was the 1970s-influenced women-in-prison film ''Sugar Boxx'', released by Lightning Entertainment, Showtime Networks, and Entertainment One. The film features notable cameos by "Foxy Brown" writer/director Jack Hill and Russ Meyer star Tura Satana. The film received critical and audience accolades.
Currently Cody is in pre-production on ''Tura!'', a documentary chronicling the life of actor/burlesque dancer Tura Satana, best known for her role in 1965's Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!. Release is scheduled for 2014.
